Position and specialisations
Julian is a consultant in the Dispute Resolution Team. He specialises in landlord and tenant, insolvency and intellectual property matters. He is also Head of Steele Raymond LLP's Shipping Team and is co author with Graeme Bowtle of the Ship Finance sections of Practical Lending and Security Precedents published by Sweet & Maxwell.

Education and career
Julian was awarded a BA with honours before studying at the College of Law in Guildford and subsequently at King's College, London where he gained an LLM degree in Commercial and Corporate Law. Julian trained in the City of London and qualified as a solicitor in 1975. He became a partner in Steele Raymond LLP in 1987 and became a consultant in 2012. He is an Associate Fellow of the Society for Advanced Legal Studies and a member of the Property Litigation Association.
