Every business faces the challenge of maintaining a healthy cash flow and avoiding bad debts. Good credit control has become one of the most important aspects of business life.
Steele Raymond LLP acts as an extension to your credit control department, producing a seamless service to complement your own procedures.
We operate with your needs in mind and wherever possible offer a same day service on receipt of your instructions. Our efficient use of technology enables us to charge very competitive fees for the recovery of debts of all sizes.
Our debt recovery services include
- Pre action letter
- Issue of proceedings
- Statutory demands
- Bankruptcy proceedings
- Winding up proceedings
- Enforcement action, including instructing the Sheriff on any judgement exceeding £600
Our charge for registration of your debt, sending a pre action letter, reporting to you on the issue of that letter, and again on expiry of the payment period is only £20 plus VAT.
If the debt is not paid following the pre action letter we will seek your instructions to issue proceedings. In that event we will charge you the costs allowed by the Court which (if judgement is obtained) are recoverable from the debtor. We can provide details of these costs on request. If the debt is not paid on judgement our usual charging rates will apply to any enforcement action.
If the action is defended it will be dealt with by our litigation department, which has extensive experience of all types of claim. Again our usual charging rates will apply.
Full details of our rates are available on request.
